Day 50! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 50 days already. In terms of workout and getting results 50 days isn’t that long, but in terms of Insanity, 50 days is A LOT! And it only leaves me with 13 days remaining in the schedule, leaving me with only 1 rest day left in the Insanity Challenge. Also today was the last time in the schedule we pair up Max Interval Circuit and Fit Test together.

Legs & Glutes-The insanity workout calendar has a technique called plyometrics which includes hopping, skipping, running, etc exercises that will help you in training your legs and glutes.
Max Interval Circuit is the longest of the Max workouts and because it’s the longest it’s probably my least favorite right now. However I crushed this workout today. Day 50 is no time to start whimpering on workouts. I pushed up the intensity higher today than any time doing this workout. According to my heart rate monitor I burned more than 750 calories and spent more than 24 minutes in zone 4 [image]. It’s funny how when you really start to see your hard work paying off, how it makes you push yourself even harder. I increased the intensity so much that by the time the third circuit got here I was about toast. The only move I couldn’t do completely in that final circuit was the Full Body Move. It was just not in me to get that move done, but I did the entire circuit on the next move of the Plank Punches. I only have two more times that this workout comes up in the schedule so I’ll be sure to try to get that move by the end.
Having the Fit Test together on Day 50 is just insane so I opted to do what I did the last time these two were on the same day. I cheated and did the Fit Test Yesterday (Rest Day). The fit test literally wipes me completely out as I try to get the best numbers possible. There is no way I’d have the energy to do Max Interval Circuit with any kind of efficiency after the fit test. Separating them worked well last time so I did it again. I was able to increase my numbers on each and every move including those dang Power Jumps [image]. Only one more Fit Test in the Insanity Challenge and guess when that is…DAY 63!

Day 50 Max Interval Circuit Nutrition And Fit Test
On day 50 of my nutrition in the Insanity Challenge I went back to my original breakfast, egg whites and whole grain toast. Just after I finished my workout and recovery drink and had just drank my daily Shakeology I got a call from my daughters school saying she was sick. I had to adjust my nutrition on the fly and needed something quick and easy to eat for lunch so I could take care of my sick little one. I decided a deli sandwich was in order and I actually hadn’t had one in a while. Surprising to me because it’s the one thing I love that’s “kind of” healthy. For dinner I went with the Pizza Protein Muffin recipe from the Insanity Nutrition Plan. I cooked these little beauties up for the whole family and we scarfed them down quickly. I added a side of steamed broccoli to mine to get at least one serving of veggies in today. I finished day 50 at 2031 calories with the macro’s at 45-36-19.
